As we embrace the new normal, we’re getting a shot of hope.
The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI), in partnership with Metro Cebu local government units, has launched Shots of Hope, a massive information, education, and communication campaign promoting COVID-19 vaccination.
Through the Shots of Hope Street Art Competition, the program brings a splash of color and hope to communities as local government units continue their efforts in getting Cebuanos vaccinated. Shots of Hope works with local government in beautifying public spaces and reimagining life in local communities that are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Shots of Hope Street Art Competition is participated by seven local government units, which include the Municipality of Consolacion, Mandaue City, the Municipality of Minglanilla, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City, and the City of Naga, with special participation of VECO in Cebu City. Local government units have partnered and worked with local artists have painted large murals to the theme of “A Shot of Hope: Imagine a fully vaccinated LGU.” Local government units and artists have completed their artwork and their massive murals can be found in key locations in their respective cities and towns.
“By painting an image of a fully vaccinated community, Shots of Hope aims to overcome vaccine hesitancy and brand bias towards vaccines that will ultimately lead to positive impact on the physical, economic, and social dimensions of Cebuanos. With a new normal in sight, the campaign encourages more Cebuanos to get vaccinated,” said Estee Marie Plunket, Assistant Vice President for Brand Development of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.
The Shots of Hope Street Art Competition awards and recognizes LGUs who have taken significant steps in their COVID-19 vaccination campaigns. The contest likewise includes a public poll, for Cebuanos to pick their winning entries.
