Brand new classrooms await the Tabuelan kids!
The Education Development Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI-EDU) has partnered with the Local Government Unit of Tabuelan for the school rehabilitation program. A total of nine classrooms—three-classroom Marcos Type Building in Kanluhangon Elementary School and a two-storey with six-classroom in Tabuelan Central School—were rehabilitated and completed on the early week of January this year.
“We are very thankful to RAFI and the Local Government Unit of Tabuelan for the realization of (these) new classrooms. The school children and the teachers are overwhelmed that they will not anymore be enduring with the non-conducive atmosphere of their previous classrooms,” said Joel Esclara, school principal of Kanluhangon Elementary School.
Final inspection and exit conference were conducted last January 30 with the presence and cooperation of the school community and LGU representative. The total cost of the project totaled to more than Php 8 million, with a labor counterpart of the LGU amounting to Php 630,000.00.
The final inspection and exit conference activity provide an avenue to discuss the over-all implementation of the project, putting into account the strengths and weakness experienced bythe implementing agencies or organizations as well as the contributions of the different stakeholders.
With the continued support from the LGU, the DepEd District of Tabuelan is expecting more of completed school rehabilitation projects this 2018.
