The Kool Adventure Camp of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) had its first ever Alumni

Convention, three years after being inaugurated in 2014.

Two separate conventions were held to accommodate alumni campers from the Southern and

Northern parts of Cebu.

79 South alumni campers convened at the Carcar New City Hall, Municipality of Carcar on

September 30, while 87 North alumni campers, in Danao City Civic Center on October 14.

“KAC Alumni Convention-South Cluster is a remarkable event not only to enjoy but also, to learn

and grow.” John Rey “Titan” Carabana, Cebu Technological University- Argao campus alumni camper,

said.

“I am privileged to be part of this endeavor to see ordinary people with extraordinary passion

and commitment to servant leadership.” he added.

On the other hand Mr. Gil B. Corbes, an alumni camper from the North and a teacher of Arcelo

Memorial National High School-San Vicente, Liloan, Cebu said that, “After my KAC camp, I changed my

point of view on what leadership really is — now, for me, leadership means service to others.”

Highlights of both North and South conventions were the panel discussion on Seal of Excellence

and Education Development (SEED) 2016 awardees, workshops, Change Projects Recognition as well as

an inspirational talk.

“One of the many gifts of KAC to us is that, it has given us each other.” Michelle Mae Olvido,

KAC Alumni Convention 2017 keynote speaker, said.

“We are here together strengthening connections and building network, we may succeed as we

work or we may fail but in that process we will grow — so, each of us should become a powerful force

to create a positive change in the lives of those whom we serve.” she added.
