To ensure that RAFInians are emergency-ready, the Risk and Compliance Team of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) initiated the Grab Bag Project.
A Grab Bag is a kit containing personal emergency supplies, pre-packed in an easy-to-carry solution; it is usually a sturdy backpack useful during an actual calamity.
The Grab Bag contains several useful emergency materials such as candles, a whistle, poncho, food and first aid kits among others. The Grab Bag itself was made sure to be useful in the dark, yellow in color, making the person wearing it more visible.
This initiative aims to make sure that every employee in the Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center (RAFI-EADSC) building and Casa Gorordo Museum (CGM) areas are equipped with a survival kit ready for emergencies, be it an earthquake, storm, fire, or other natural calamities.
The Risk and Compliance Team targets to fully distribute the Grab Bags to employees in January 2018.
