The Microfinance Program of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI Micro-finance) main office staff had fun under the sun during the recently held RMF Summer Outing 2018 at Solea Mactan Cebu Resort in Lapu-Lapu City last May 19, 2018

Dubbed as “Outplay, Outwit, Outlast, Survivor,” the event kept the staff in high spirits. Organizers prepared an Amazing Race challenge where participants were divided into four teams and worked on challenges that tested their teamwork.

“The purpose of the activity is to give employees a work-and-life balance, a break from pressure and stress, and of course to strengthen the teamwork of each team,” said Michelle Abigail Kilantang, a business process analyst and one of the organizers of the event.

Each team had to accomplish five challenges — the Spider Web, Minefield, Spelling Bee, Water Refilling Station, and Bugsai ta Bai. The teams were judged based on the speed by which they accomplished the challenges.

“As a first timer in RMF’s summer outing, I really had a great time. Though the summer heat is quite intense, it did not stop us from having fun. I can say that this is the best summer getaway I had this summer,” said Jafet Mondoñedo, research and product specialist, of the event.

Minor games and raffle draws were also held during the event.

Aside from this summer outing for the main office employees, RMF branches from other areas in Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Samar, and Southern Leyte also had their summer outing in their respective areas.
