RAFI Opens Donation Channels for Affected Communities in Northern Cebu

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) has officially opened its cash donation channels as part of its Dungan sa Pagbangon campaign; a response to the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Northern Cebu.

This donation drive complements RAFI’s ongoing humanitarian relief operations to support affected communities in their journey from relief to rehabilitation. RAFI works in coordination with mandate-bearing government agencies and local communities to ensure that the response is meaningful and bridges critical gaps.

RAFI’s relief efforts follow a three-phase approach: Relief, Recovery, and Rehabilitation. Donations received through this drive will be utilized during the Relief phase to procure and distribute essential non-food items, including shelter kits, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, toddler kits, and newborn kits. Once assessments and further on-ground validation are completed, RAFI will eventually transition to the next phases.

These will be distributed to the affected communities that remain unreached or underserved in the immediate aftermath of the quake.

“RAFI stands in solidarity with the families and communities affected by the earthquake in Northern Cebu. As Architects of Change, we are committed to creating spaces and opportunities for meaningful action and recovery. Our teams are already on the ground, actively providing support and working to reach more communities in need. We call on individuals, organizations, and partners who wish to extend their help to join us in this cause,” Estee Marie Plunket, RAFI Public Information Officer.
