Official Statement:

Following the declaration of a state of calamity in the Province of Cebu due to the recent magnitude 6.9 earthquake that caused severe damage in several northern municipalities, the Foundation has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to support coordinated relief and recovery efforts.

The EOC will work closely with the Cebu Provincial Government, local government units, and partner organizations. To ensure an efficient, effective, and data-driven response, operations have begun to coordinate information, mobilize resources, and conduct post-disaster assessments in the affected communities.

We are grateful to those who have already expressed their intent to donate or volunteer. Once assessments are complete, we will share details on how you can support our relief efforts.

The Foundation reaffirms its commitment to stand with communities in times of crisis, extending immediate support and working with stakeholders to help accelerate recovery.

“In times of disaster, we are reminded of the importance of picking up our bugsay — the paddle — and rowing together with our communities. RAFI is committed to paddling side by side with our partners, to help those affected rebuild and move forward.”
