The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) and the Don Bosco Technical College – Cebu (DBTC – Cebu) mark a new era of collaboration with the unveiling of a transformative education initiative. Driven with the shared goal to elevate learning experiences and environments for students, this collaboration seeks to construct a learning hub for the senior high school and college students in the DBTC-Cebu.

Signed on December 15, 2023, this three-year partnership signifies RAFI’s support to DBTC-Cebu become a top technopreneur hub in the Visayas. The learning hub which includes an auditorium, and a smart library hopes to empower equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of the workforce.

DBTC – RAFI Learning Hub:

• Auditorium

Geared to promote academic and co-curricular excellence this 350-seater auditorium provides a dedicated space to conduct various academic and co-curricular activities which includes seminars, workshops, cultural events, and student assemblies. The area will be equipped with a stage, break-out rooms with writing tables and chairs for collaborative discussions, visitor’s lounge, bathrooms, ramp, and Audio-visual equipment.

• Smart Library

To create an advanced center for research and learning tools, the smart library seeks to offer students an elevated experience and a well-equipped learning center.

The roots of collaboration between DBTC and RAFI run deep, dating back to 1955 when Don Ramon Aboitiz generously donated a 4.5-hectare land to the Salesians of Don Bosco, now home to the entire DBTC campus. Over the years, various partnerships have flourished through youth and professional development programs, showcasing a long history of shared values and commitment.

As this collaboration unfolds, it is with the hope that the additional facilities not only benefit the school but also have a positive impact on communities, fostering overall growth and development in the region.
