The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) is on standby and ready to assist communities and local government units affected by Typhoon Karding.
RAFI, through its Humanitarian Disaster Preparedness and Response (RAFI HDPR) program, is closely monitoring the impact of Typhoon Karding. The team is currently reviewing situation reports as these come in through different government agencies on the ground.
To ensure the safety of all employees and their families, RAFI has suspended work today, September 26, in all areas under signal number 2 and 4. Meanwhile, for employees in areas under Signal no. 1, but considered flood prone areas, work has also been suspended.
RAFI has activated its Call Tree and accounted for all its employees in Typhoon Karding-affected areas.
For the safety of all RAFI Micro Finance employees and clients, a payment holiday has been announced in all branches in Luzon. Branches in the Visayas and Mindanao remain open to process loan releases, micro-insurance claims, and saving withdrawals.
