The Microfinance Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI Micro-finance) opened its 100th branch in Victorias, Negros Occidental last April 26, 2018.
“RMF’s expansion started after the Bugsay Project led by Renoir Group. The project empowered and inspired RMF to reach out to more micro-entrepreneurs by opening more branches to various provinces in the Visayas,” said RMF Expansion Head Dominic Sencio.
So far, RMF has opened 25 branches, including those in Samar. Before the year ends, it will open new branches in Iloilo.
Established in 1998, RMF started operating only in Cebu province with four branches in Argao towns, Balamban, Liloan, and Minglanilla. By the end of 2017, it has established branches in Biliran, Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor.
The Microfinance Program of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI Micro-finance) provides financial and non-financial services to micro-entrepreneurs with a mission of elevating lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged communities through stable and rewarding livelihood.
